Sonic Paddle Boards
CHD and Sonic paddle boards have been developed and designed with the expertise and experience of eleven times New Zealand Iron-Man Champion and three times World Iron-Man Champion Cory Hutchings.
Cory's extensive competition experience has enabled us to develop and manufacture an elite paddle board that caters for paddlers of all abilities. The CHD (Cory Hutchings Design) and SOS (Sonic Ocean Style) boards are precision hand shaped products to custom suit your individual needs and wants.
For the 2005/06 season and onwards, CHD and SOS Boards include an extra lamination of reinforcement as well as another filler coat to improve the strength and hardness as well as the overall finish of our Custom Racing Boards.
Throughout the 2006 season we have designed a new chisel nosed board. It is narrower through the front handle area to allow for a better, more efficient stroke entrance, especially for smaller, narrower shouldered people. Although the board has been made narrower, it maintains the same water line with the chisel shaped nose. This shape nose also gives good lift when popping out through surf. This design has been developed with help from Cory Hutchings who has ridden a chisel nosed board for the 2006 season.
